Several of these have been played live over the past year or so. I'm looking forward to hearing One More Night in Brooklyn. Anyone else have an early favorite?
i liked Working For The MTA when i heard it.
ReplyDeleteOh hell yes, I love "Ain't Waitin'".
ReplyDeleteI love Harlem River Blues. I saw him perform Ain't Waitin', which is awesome, and Wanderin' which is great too. Harlem River Blues is #1 on my most listened to on iTunes! Obsess much!?
ReplyDeleteI think all of them except Learning to Cry and Rogers Park have been played live over the past year. Several of them can be found on YouTube and the Live Music Archive.
ReplyDeleteI think Move Over Mama is the name of the "Boy You Keep Movin' and You'll Never Get Caugbht" soing...but I could be wrong.

ReplyDeleteThe song "Boy You Keep Movin' and You'll Never get Caught" is the first song after the interview on this youtube clip. I sure hope it is "Move Over Mama", because I was blown away by this song when I first heard it. I also hope he plays it this fast on the record, but I can see him slowing it down.
Found "Move Over Mama", and sadly, it isn't that song we thought it was. Sounds great though, but not "Boy You Keep Movin' and You'll Never Get Caught". Here is the link to the song...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPcYNJvexog.
ReplyDeleteDo anyone know if that song will make it on the album, as it is one of my favorite JTE songs?
I believe "Move over Mama" is the one about "Sleepin in the middle of the bed too long" :)
ReplyDeleteMy "pre-fav's" are: Wanderin, MTA and Aint Waitin.. Lookin forward to hearing the production.. Although Harlem River really threw me for a loop as it was totally different then went I heard it live..
I read on the Bloodshot page that the LP will have an extra track. Still the possibility it's the "Mama Said"/Boy You Keep Movin' tune.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. You can preview the clean version on iTunes right now. I don't see the additional song on there, but it has Harlem River Blues (reprise) on there.
